What to bring with you to the polls to vote in person

You will need a photo ID with your signature. If your photo ID does not display your signature, you will need to bring a second form of identification that does. Examples of photo IDs accepted at polling places:

  • Florida driver’s license
  • Florida identification card issued by the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles
  • United States passport
  • Debit or credit card
  • Military identification
  • Student identification
  • Retirement center identification
  • Neighborhood association identification
  • Public assistance identification
  • Veteran health identification card issued by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs
  • License to carry a concealed weapon or firearm issued pursuant to s. 790.06
  • Employee identification card issued by any branch, department, agency, or entity of the Federal Government, the state, a county, or a municipality.

If you are voting for the first time and registered by mail and have not been issued a Florida driver license number, Florida identification number or Social Security number, you must provide one of the following forms of identification:

Form containing your name and photo:

  • United States passport
  • Debit or credit card
  • Military identification
  • Student identification
  • Retirement center identification
  • Neighborhood association identification OR
  • Public assistance Identification.

Or, a copy of a current and valid:

  • Utility bill
  • Bank statement
  • Government check or paycheck OR
  • Other government document containing your name and current residence address.
